Un grand nombre d\u2019embryons apr\u00e8s f\u00e9condation sont perdus, et ceci est d\u00fb essentiellement \u00e0 des anomalies qui les emp\u00eachent de survivre et de s\u2019implanter dans l\u2019ut\u00e9rus de la m\u00e8re et, en effet, la plupart du temps les femmes ne se rendent m\u00eame pas compte de la perte d\u2019une grossesse pr\u00e9coce puisque la p\u00e9riode menstruelle ne devrait pas, dans ce cas, \u00eatre retard\u00e9e.<\/p> <p>Lorsque la femme a un retard de r\u00e8gles et se sait enceinte, dans encore environ 25% des cas, elle conna\u00eetra un probl\u00e8me quelconque et sa grossesse ne pourra \u00eatre men\u00e9e \u00e0 terme.<\/p> <p>Plusieurs \u00e9tudes cliniques ont tent\u00e9 de calculer les probabilit\u00e9s de grossesse au sein de groupes de population n\u2019utilisant pas de m\u00e9thodes de contraception, et ont estim\u00e9 \u00e0 20% les chances de parvenir \u00e0 une grossesse au cours d\u2019un cycle menstruel sachant que cette probabilit\u00e9 diminue au fur et \u00e0 mesure que l\u2019\u00e2ge de la femme augmente.<\/p> <p>\u00a0<\/p> <h2 class=\"font-bold font-sans text-black text-2xl lg:text-3xl leading-tight\">Le processus de f\u00e9condation<\/h2> <p>La grossesse r\u00e9sulte d\u2019un processus compliqu\u00e9 qui d\u00e9pend de nombreux facteurs :<\/p> <ul> <li>Phase I : La production de spermatozo\u00efdes sains chez l\u2019homme et d\u2019ovules sains chez la femme.<\/li> <li>Phase II : Les trompes de Fallope de la femme ne doivent pas \u00eatre bouch\u00e9es pour permettre au spermatozo\u00efde de parvenir jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019ovule.<\/li> <li>Phase III : Lors de la rencontre de l\u2019ovule et du spermatozo\u00efde, ce dernier doit \u00eatre capable de f\u00e9conder l\u2019ovule.<\/li> <li>Phase IV : Cette f\u00e9condation doit aboutir \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un embryon g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement sain.<\/li> <li>Phase V : Cet embryon g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement sain doit \u00eatre capable de s\u2019implanter dans l\u2019ut\u00e9rus de la femme.<\/li> <\/ul> <p>Si, au cours d\u2019un cycle menstruel, aucune grossesse ne s\u2019est enclench\u00e9e, cela signifie qu\u2019une des phases cit\u00e9es ci-dessus n\u2019a pu \u00eatre men\u00e9e \u00e0 terme.<\/p> <p>\u00a0<\/p> <h2 class=\"font-bold font-sans text-black text-2xl lg:text-3xl leading-tight\">F\u00e9condation<\/h2> <p>Une fois que les spermatozo\u00efdes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9pos\u00e9s dans le vagin apr\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e9jaculation, des millions de spermatozo\u00efdes entament un v\u00e9ritable parcours dans le but d\u2019atteindre et de f\u00e9conder l\u2019ovule. Ce parcours constitue un v\u00e9ritable d\u00e9fi lorsque l\u2019on sait que sur des milliards de spermatozo\u00efdes, un seul d\u2019entre eux r\u00e9ussira \u00e0 fusionner avec l\u2019ovule.<\/p> <p>Une fois dans le vagin, les spermatozo\u00efdes transitent jusqu\u2019aux trompes de Fallope, lieu dans lequel les spermatozo\u00efdes, qui auront pu parvenir jusque l\u00e0, vont rencontrer l\u2019ovule et la f\u00e9conder. Ce trajet, les spermatozo\u00efdes peuvent le r\u00e9aliser gr\u00e2ce au mouvement de leur queue mais aussi gr\u00e2ce aux contractions des parois vaginales et de l\u2019ut\u00e9rus qui facilitent leur d\u00e9placement.<\/p> <p>Au moment de la rencontre avec l\u2019ovule, il ne restera environ que deux cents spermatozo\u00efdes sur les millions expuls\u00e9s au moment de l\u2019\u00e9jaculation, ceux-ci entoureront l\u2019ovule et commenceront \u00e0 lib\u00e9rer une enzyme prot\u00e9ique (hyaluronidase), qui a pour fonction de rompre la membrane externe de l\u2019ovule. Un seul d\u2019entre eux sera capable de rompre compl\u00e8tement cette membrane et de p\u00e9n\u00e9trer enti\u00e8rement dans l\u2019ovule. En faisant cela, il perdra sa queue et avancera jusqu\u2019au noyau de l\u2019ovule en activant des substances qui emp\u00eacheront l\u2019entr\u00e9e d\u2019autres spermatozo\u00efdes \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur.<\/p> <p>L\u2019ovule conserve sa capacit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre f\u00e9cond\u00e9 durant environ 24 heures apr\u00e8s l\u2019ovulation. Les spermatozo\u00efdes peuvent survivre dans le mucus cervical entre 48 et 72 heures environ.<\/p> <p>La f\u00e9condation se produit lorsque les noyaux fusionnent, celui de la t\u00eate du spermatozo\u00efde qui a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 atteindre l\u2019ovule et celui de l\u2019ovule lui-m\u00eame. Cette fusion permet de r\u00e9unir 46 chromosomes au total (chaque cellule sexuelle en apportant 23), ce qui constitue le patrimoine chromosomique du nouvel individu. M\u00eame si la moiti\u00e9 de l\u2019information g\u00e9n\u00e9tique correspond \u00e0 chacun des parents, l\u2019union g\u00e9n\u00e8re la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un individu unique, exceptionnel, que l\u2019on appelle alors zygote.<\/p> <p>\u00a0<\/p> <h2 class=\"font-bold font-sans text-black text-2xl lg:text-3xl leading-tight\">Implantation<\/h2> <p>L\u2019ovule fertilis\u00e9, se d\u00e9veloppera dans les trompes de Fallope durant les trois premiers jours avant de rejoindre l\u2019ut\u00e9rus. Le cinqui\u00e8me jour, il deviendra ce que l\u2019on appelle un blastocyste, un embryon compos\u00e9 de entre 70 et 100 cellules, pr\u00eat pour son implantation. Vers le 6e ou 7e jour apr\u00e8s la f\u00e9condation, le blastocyste se d\u00e9gage de sa carapace (\u00e9galement appel\u00e9e membrane p\u00e9lucide), et sera ainsi pr\u00eat \u00e0 se fixer sur la superficie de l\u2019endom\u00e8tre tout en commen\u00e7ant \u00e0 s\u00e9cr\u00e9ter la Gonadotrophine chorionique humaine (hCG), hormone qui donne l\u2019ordre au corps lut\u00e9al de poursuivre la
